Touch down in Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, where you will be greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel. Check in at one of two recommended hotels – Dwarikas Hotel, or the Hyatt Regency Kathmandu. Tonight you will receive a briefing in preparation for the days ahead. Enjoy a cultural feast at a Nepali restaurant, before a restful night.
Following breakfast, take in the sights of Kathmandu City. The guided tour includes stops at the Boudhanath Stupa, sacred Pashupatinath temple on the bank of the sacred Bagmati River, Kathmandu durbar square including Hanuman Dhoka, Temple of the Living Goddess, numerous temples and palaces. In the afternoon, see the city from a different vantage point, from the hilltop of the Swayambhunath Stupa. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Following breakfast, begin your scenic drive toward Chitwan National Park. Along the way, stop at Khatauli – a river-rafting launch point – and begin your white water rafting adventure. After four hours of exhilarating rafting, enjoy a delicious lunch before continuing your journey to Chitwan. Upon arrival at the park, you will be met by park representatives and transferred to the jungle lodge. Enjoy a hearty meal before spending the night at the park jungle lodge.
Rise with the birds of the Nepalese jungle this morning and prepare for your exciting Jeep trek through the jungle forest. Early in the morning is the best time to catch glimpses at rare wildlife sights. After two to three hours exploring the jungle, return to camp/lodge for breakfast. Following your meal, meet with senior naturalists at the elephant stables and learn about Asia friendly giants. After lunch at camp, take time for some well-deserved rest and relaxation or participate in programs offered at the camp/lodge. Dinner and overnight at the jungle lodge.
Following breakfast, begin your journey to Pokhara nestled beneath the towering Annapurna Himalaya Range. Upon arrival, take in the sights of the city, including the Seti Gorge, Bindabasini Temple and Tibetan Refugee Camp. Round off your day with a sunset boat ride at Phewa Lake. Overnight at one of two recommended hotels: Fish Tail Lodge or Tiger Mountain Lodge.
Another early wake-up call today, and you begin your day with a 30-minute drive and 45-minute hike to Sarangkot, where you will enjoy a magnificent sunrise over the Annapurna Himalayan Range. Return to the hotel for breakfast and some rest, before proceeding to Pokhara Domestic Airport, where you will take a 25-minute scenic flight to Kathmandu. Enjoy an evening of shopping, sightseeing and a farewell dinner in Thamel.
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and morning, before you are transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport in time for your departure flight, either home or to your next destination.
