Your cruise will continue through Matla – Sea Face (viewpoint of Bay of Bengal) – crossing through the 5-river junction point with a huge water body all around. Later cruise through rivers and creeks of Pitchkhali- Sarakhkhali- Sudhanyokhali- Bonobibi Bharani. Hajo Village: The town of Hajo (35 km west of Guwahati and 20 kms from Sualkuchi) is a sacred place for Hindus, Muslims and Buddhists - an exemplar of religious harmony -the best instance of which can be found in the harmonious living of various castes and communities in the neighbourhood around the lanes of Hayagriva-Madhava temple gate. Lane next to the temple entrance is an exemplary case of harmony and unity amongst communities of different castes and religion. It is inhabited by Brahmins on one side and Sudras on the opposite sides and at the rear inhabited by people of Islam religion who are brass-metal craftsmen. The interesting fact here is that the brass metal handmade products manufactured (closed on Fridays) in these Muslim homes find their place in household use, religious purpose, musical instruments, art wares- a virtue that is a rarity in the present times. Brass is an important cottage industry in Assam, with highest concentration in Hajo. The principal items of brass are the kalah (water pot), Sarai (a platter or tray mounted on a base), Kahi (dish), Bati (bowl), Lota (water pot with a long neck) and Tal (cymbals).Sualkuchi village, situated on the north bank of the mighty Brahmaputra, Assam, produces three unique varieties of silks namely, Golden (Muga) Silk, White (Paat) Silk & Eri (Non-violance) Silks. Sualkuchi is one of the worlds largest weaving villages. The entire population here is engaged in weaving exquisite silk fabrics. Greater Adjutant Stork (Hargilla in Assamese) with just few hundred left in the world, out of which, two-thirds of the global population live in Assam, pride of Dadara-Pasariya- Singimari villages near Sualkuchi. Bastra Udyan, a childrens park and Aamar Sualkuchi, a museum-like institute with sculptural forms depicting the different activities of the handlooms of the silk village Sualkuchi. Tourists coming to Sualkuchi get a clear impression of the different processes of weaving of the silk village which showcases the life at Sualkuchi. Later by evening drive approx back to Guwahati.

En route you will visit the largest manmade lake of Northeast India -Umium Lake (also known as Barapani Lake), Elephant Fall & Duwan Sin Syiem (View Point). Double Deckar Living Root Bridge involves trek of around 6 to 08 Hrs, additional 02Hrs required for guest opting for Rainbow fall. - After breakfast go for a trek to Double Decker Living Root Bridge – 3 to 4 hours walk oneway from the starting point (depending on the Fitness of the guest). The distance cover is around 4 km one-way with down and up of 1000 feet height approx. This trek goes downhill through village Sohsarat. The steps are relatively steeper in two short stretches. Half the distance is covered by steps going downhill. Then there is a jungle path going along the sides of the hill leading to the Living Root Bridge with a few steps after short stretches of sloping foot path. Moss thrives on these sandstone steps during the monsoon and makes them slippery, hence one need to be extra careful. Today you can explore the cleanest village Mawlynnong. Also visit Single living Root Bridge. (45 mins gradual walk downwards / 1 hour gradual walk upwards). Drive to Shillong for overnight stay. Optional: After lunch drive to Dawki Dawki Lake (5904 Ft / 1800 Mts, 30 Kms / 01 to 02 Hrs drive approx oneway from Mawlynnong). Dawki is the gateway to Bangladesh where major export and import transactions take place. It is a splendid drive of 30 kilometers passing through deep gorges and ravines, which is certainly a thrilling experience. On approaching Dawki is the Umngot River, The Umngot River is the natural boundary between Ri Pnar or Jaintia Hills with Hima Khyrim of Khasi hills over which a single span suspension bridge was constructed. Overnight in MajuliMajuli is the largest fresh Water mid-river deltoid island in the world. It is situated in the upper reaches of the river Brahmaputra in Assam. This Island, with a population of 1.6 Lakhs, majority being tribal, is endowed with rich heritage and has been the abode of the neo-Vaishnavite culture. The island is a bio-diversity hotspot and has rich ecology with rare species of flora and fauna. From the beginning of their settlement in the island the people of Majuli have been facing the challenge of roaring force of nature like river rahmaputra and have acquired the art of utilizing this mighty force of nature for their benefit. With the advent of Vaishnava saint of Assam the people have made their tiny island a Nerve Center of Assamese Religion, Art, Culture and Education and they have been preserving it as a living culture for the last five hundred years against all challenge of calamities - natural, political and social. This is a unique in this world and deserves recognition. Majuli for the past five centuries has been the cultural capital of Assam. The main depositories of cultural and spiritual heritage are the Sattras, which are just like Gurukul (hermitages) of yore. Here up to 400 celibates stay for life preserving spiritual and cultural heritage, renouncing worldly desires. From the time of the great Vaishnavite renaissance of 14th and 15th century AD, under Srimanta Sankardeva, Srimanta Madhab Deva and other saints this island became the seat of Vaishnavite religion, art and culture. The famous Satriya Nritya (Dance) and Ankiya Bhaona (Traditional Drama) created by Sankardeva are now internationally acclaimed and nationally honoured. Majuli is equally famous for Tribal Folk Culture and Heritage. It is said to be the cradle of Missing and Deori cultures. The ancient Indian "GURU SISHYA PARAMPARA" system of education is prevalent only in the Satra Institutions of Majuli, Assam. The system confines the universal code, humanitarianism, the path of devotion, renunciation, truth, non-violence, well-being of the people, liberation from birth and death, under restrain, charity and compassion. The antique social customs of indigenous Assamese society are in practice only in the Sattras of Majuli in lineage system.
