After a relaxing night sleep, you will be transferred to the airport to board your helicopter for the short flight to Taplejung. From here, it onwards to Ramche, and then to Kanchenjunga Base Camp at 15,100 feet. Enjoy the views of the sprawling grassy expanse, framed by icy glaciers and soaring peaks. Retrace your flight path and venture onwards to the snowy landscapes of Makalu Base Camp at 16,400 feet. Your final destination for the day is your cozy guesthouse, Mountain Lodges of Nepal (MLN), at Lukla.
Touch down in Kathmandu, the capital of scenic Nepal. After being met by your guide, you will be whisked through the city to your comfortable hotel, where you can get your bearings and, with a briefing from your expert sherpa, prepare yourself for the adventure ahead.
An early start is rewarded with a flight to the base camps shared by Everest and Lhotse, at a breathtaking 17,400 feet. Pause to take in the spectacular views of four of the world six tallest peaks: Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu and, towering over them all, Everest. Fly onwards for Cho Oyu Base Camp for views of the Tibetan Plateau from 16,100 feet before an unforgettable private breakfast set-up at Kongde Lodge surrounded by glorious mountain peaks. Afterwards, you will proceed to Bandipur to settle in at the Three Mountain Lodge.
This morning, climb aboard the helicopter bound for Manaslu Base Camp. While sheltered in its flat rock location at 14,800 feet, there is every chance you will be met with snowfall or be enveloped in cloud here. Fly onwards to Pokhara this afternoon, and relax amid the natural beauty that surrounds this enchanting city. Take a stroll by the lake, enjoy the mountainous panoramas, and spend the night at Temple Tree Resort.
Today, prepare to visit Dhaulagiri Base Camp at 15,600 feet and Annapurna Base Camp at 13,550 feet, for views of the Annapurna range and the glacier basin known as Annapurna Sanctuary. Fly to Chitwan National Park to settle in at Taj Meghauli. This afternoon, explore the park in search of its endangered treasures including the one-horned rhinoceros, royal bengal tigers, elephants and antelope.
Continue your close encounter with nature with an action-packed day of activities in Chitwan. After a jungle hike, cruise down the Rapti River in a dugout canoe to spot crocodiles and birdlife. Take a Jeep safari through the park to spot all the exotic flora and fauna with your guide, and round off the day with dinner and a performance of the local Tharu Stick Dance.
Enjoy breakfast before you bid the countryside goodbye and embark on your flight back to the city. Touch down in Kathmandu and retire back to your comfortable city hotel, to spend the evening at your leisure.
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel ready for a day of discovery in Kathmandu. Explore the treasures of this historic city, including the 2000-year-old Swayambhunath stupa with its copper gilt spire surrounded by the all-seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. Take a walk around Kathmandu Durbar Square, lined with temples, museums and the ancient palace of Nepalese royalty. Just a short drive south of the city is Patan, home of historic and sacred artefacts and monuments.
On your final full day, venture out of the city once more into the Kathmandu Valley to explore its historic sites. Visit the medieval wonders of Bhaktapur, shaped like a conch shell and known as City of Devotees for its numerous temples. On the banks of Bagmati River, you will find Pashupatinath, one of the oldest Hindu temples dedicated to Shiva and, to complete your tour of pilgrimage destinations, one of Nepal largest Buddhist monuments, Boudhanath Stupa.
